Day Two: Osses to Oloron-Sainte-Marie

Day two was a big reality check for most of us...130 kms, about 3000m of climbing over two significant mountains and temperatures well into the thirties. Some of the gradients were into the mid teens, and both climbs were the best part of 20 kms.

I, for one, suffered hugely on the second climb and was very happy to see the top. By the way all of us went straight to the pool when we arrived at the hotel I think we all were feeling the heat after a long day in the saddle. A great effort by all.
